Beverlie Leona LaCroix, 88, passed away on December 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Beverlie was born on March 5, 1937, in Livingston, Louisiana to James and Evelyn (Taylor) Barnett. She was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana before moving to California where she met the love of her life, Robert LaCroix, a career Navy gentleman. As a military wife, she traveled with her family to Okinawa, Japan. Four years later, upon returning to the States, she moved to Denton, Texas, where she worked as a telephone operator and customer service representative for GTE/Verizon. She retired in 1999.
Beverlie enjoyed gardening, ceramics, garage sales, and bowling. She was highly skilled at crochet and needlepoint work and won several first-place ribbons at the North Texas State Fair.
Beverlie lit up a room with her beautiful smile and outgoing personality which will be missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert LaCroix, her sons, Mike Myers and Ronald Myers & wife, Cheryl, her daughter Becky LaCroix, her daughter Kelly Loughridge and husband Paul, her daughter Angela LaCroix as well as her grandchildren, Brian, Kristen, Ronan, Heather, Robert, Nicholas, Kirby, Megan, Tyler, and Sean. Beverlie has twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; her brother, Stan Barnett, extended family & many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brothers, Jerry Barnett and James Barnett, her sister, Delores Hicinbotham, and her grandsons, Jacob Myers and Jeffery Myers.
