Billy Ray Erwin, Sr. 63 of Denton passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 from complications of COPD.  He was born on March 15, 1954 to John Benjamin Franklin Erwin and Leslie Mildred Hall Erwin.

Bill loved race cars!  If he wasn't driving, he was just as happy working on them, this was his main passion.  Bill also loved truck driving he made so many friends; he enjoyed that as much as his racing.  He was an awesome story teller as well, he never met a stranger.

Bill loved his family so very much, his children were his life.  He would do whatever it took to spend time with them; he was a kind and generous man.  Bill was amazing at bartering; if you wanted to barter he was the one to call. He will be missed terribly by his wife, he was her Teddy Bear.

Bill is survived by his wife LuAnn (Wyatt) Erwin, son, Billy Ray Jr. daughter, Tonja Reneaa and her son, William.

Graveside Service will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. , at the Fairview Cemetery in Joplin , TX .
