Billy Wayne Johnson, 69, of Bartonville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at his home, comforted by his family.

Billy was born in Maywood, California on November 19, 1950, son of Don and Jean Johnson.  He is survived by his spouse, Gisele (Gigi) Johnson and his two sons Don and wife Jennifer, Christopher and wife Rachel, 2 grandchildren, Benjamin and Ellison.  He is also survived by his mother Jean Johnson and sisters, Valorie Strauss and Julie Howard, 3 nieces and nephews, and 2 great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Don and his son, Jeremy.

He was an extremely generous man. Billy would often buy meals for unsuspecting fellow restaurant patrons, or surprise families with rent, food and gifts in addition to the contributions through his company.

As his illness progressed, Billy was enjoying his move to the country life, along with being a grandad. Taking the grandkids for rides in his tractor and the buggy were a big day.  Simple living was his ideal way of life.

A party in celebration of Billy's life will be planned at a later date, when it is safe for his family and friends to congregate.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the IPF foundation www.ipffoundation.org in memory of Billy Wayne Johnson.  We are very grateful to the organ donor and our family is especially grateful to the lung transplant doctors and staff at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas. Billy received an additional 5 years of life with his lung transplant and their care.  Because of them Billy was able to see his two sons get married and his grandchildren born.
