Robert (Bob) Farnsworth 80 passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 24, 1931 in Chadron, Nebraska to Robert and Esther Farnsworth. The family moved to Chicago, Ill, where Bob spent the early part of his life. He graduated from Taft High school in Chicago and he attended Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, and Chadron State College in Chadron.

He served in the U S Navy on a small aircraft carrier during the Korean War. He was a member of the Willowwood Church of the Nazarene in Denton.

He married Esther Laue on June 14, 1953. Together they enjoyed the blessings of three children. In 1970 Bob moved his family to Denton, Texas, where he was employed in sales with Seiberling Tire and Rubber Co., traveling a five state area. He had the honor of being top salesman for many years. He formed Texoma Tire Buyers, Inc. a buying group for tire dealers in 1973 which is still in business today.

He was a loving father and grandfather, a kind and generous man who loved helping people. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Willowwood Church of the Nazarene in Denton with Pastors Mark Ramsey, Bruce Chamberlain and Steve Dudash officiating.

Survivors include his wife Esther of 59 years; children Ronald Farnsworth of Denton, Laurie Reneau and husband Shawn of Denton and Richard Farnsworth of Aubrey. His grandchildren Stephanie and Vanessa Farnsworth, Colby, Camron and Kaylee Reneau, all reside in Denton. Bob's sister, Barbara Henderson and husband Paul reside in Whitehouse, TN. Survivors also include lots of nieces and nephews.
