"Bob" Kennedy, 63, of Denton passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1949 in Bastrop, LA to Charles Robert Kennedy, Sr. and Sybil Crawford Kennedy. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He married Eileen Rombach on November 9, 1989 and retired as manager of Zales and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and also The Knights of Columbus.


Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Tim Thompson officiating. Pallbearers will be Kent "Bull" Rivers, Jeremy Shaffer, Jonathan Moore, Steve Scaggs, Micky White and Travis Shaffer.


He is survived by his wife, Eileen Kennedy of Denton; daughters, Lori Shaffer and husband, Jeremy, Rachel Brittian, and Melynda Rivers and husband Kent; son, Jonathan Moore; sister, Liz Kennedy; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Edward Kennedy and brother, Randy Kennedy.
