Bob Allen "Bobby" Way, 86, of Denton Passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Medical City Denton Hospital. He was born September 26, 1937, in Floyd County, Texas to Fred Howard Way and Bessie Lee Blenis Way.

Bob married Carolyn M. Woods on July 2, 1957. He began his educational career at Lewisville High School in 1962 and later moved on the North Texas State University, retiring from teaching and coaching after over 50 years at the University of North Texas. He was a member of the Denton Elks Lodge and the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Way of Denton, daughters, Karen and husband Glenn Carlton, Vicki and husband Barry Turner, Kelli and husband Ricky Bartel, grandsons, Chance and wife, Courtney Carlton, Colton Carlton, Barret Turner, Lane and Luke Bartel, granddaughters, Jeri and husband Mas Owen, Aubrey Bartel, great granddaughters, Kyler and Kayeston Carlton and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty and husband Walter Gregory and brother Fred and wife JoAnn Way.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Bob's name to a charity of your choice.
