Bobbie Jeane McGrady Forrest, 91, of Sanger, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 in Sanger peacefully at her home.
She was born November 16, 1924 in St. Jo, Texas to Allen McGrady and Queva Mae Berry McGrady. She married John M. Forrest, Jr. on September 27, 1943 in Dallas. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2003. She was owner of J.M Forrest Trucking and employed as secretary at Jimmy Forrest Transport. She was a member of Gribble Spring Baptist Church, a member of Denton County Museum of History, and a Sunday School teacher.
Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2016 from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at 2:00 P.M. in Gribble Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Finley officiating. Burial will follow at Sanger Cemetery.
She is survived by her son and "Caretaker" Jimmy Forrest; Darlene Forrest Sanders; and Johnny Forrest, also her 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Stephen Carlos McGrady,
Bobbie loved to play the piano, she also loved the arts, and painted "many" oil paintings that are observed today. She was a lover of animals, and very involved in all sorts of charity.
