Obituary

Bob Andrews, known affectionately as "Burly," died June 28, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. He was born February 3, 1937 in Brady, Texas to Harold Wayne "H. W."Andrews and Ruth Strickland Andrews.

Bob arrived in Denton in 1955 to attend North Texas State University and graduated with a B. A. in marketing. For many years, he worked as a broker representative for Underwood Meat Products. After retiring, he owned and operated Airport Limo Services in Denton. On December 28, 1962, Bob married Marsha Miller, who died in 2003. The couple had two children, Robert Andrews and Kristen Andrews Hicks, both currently living in Denton. Bob was also the proud grandfather of Kristen and Mark Hicks' daughters, Charley Ann, 2 and Hudson Elizabeth, 7 months.

Bob enjoyed a great interest in sports all of his life. He learned to love football when playing for the Brady Bulldogs, his home team, and his contagious enthusiasm never abated. For many years he never missed attending all Cowboy home games, all high school playoffs at Irving Stadium, and almost all the North Texas Eagle basketball and football games.

DeBerry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and viewing. There will be no visitation.
