IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bobby Gene
Morris
June 9, 1951 – October 12, 2021
Bobby Gene Morris, 70, of Sanger, Texas passed away on October 12, 2021. He was born on June 9, 1951, in Atlanta, GA to Ralph and Dorothy Morris.
Bobby was a proud Marine, son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His pride and joy was his family and friends. His smile and personality stole the show everywhere he went. You could always find him driving around town in his red corvette, wearing his leather jacket and sunglasses, and listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn or his favorite honky tonk music. If you knew Bobby, you were lucky because he gave you a nickname. If you didn't have a nickname, it wouldn't be long before you did.
Bobby built custom swimming pools for 50 years. He poured so much love into each pool where families could spend time together while making lifelong memories; and usually, if he built you a pool, you ended up being lifelong friends with him.
Bobby's legacy was helping others. He generously gave to others and helped raise money for people in need and different charities. The charities closest to his heart were the American Valor Foundation (Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit) and the Wounded Warriors Project.
Bobby's last gift on earth was giving the gift of sight to someone in need and the gift of skin to burn victims. His family is so proud of him and honored to fulfill one of his last requests.
Bobby's family wants you to be comforted knowing Bobby is no longer in pain or discomfort. He was called home by God so he can rest and live pain free. Bobby is building the best swimming pool Heaven has ever seen. He'll be sitting next to that pool with his feet kicked up, giving nicknames, and making people laugh with his funny jokes.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Lee; daughters: Georgia Morris of Sanger, and Mindy Youngs and husband Danny of Lake Jackson, Texas, brothers: Ronny Morris of Granbury, and Wesley Lee of Sanger, grandchild, Finlee Youngs; nephews: Ron Morris, Jr., Michael Lee, and Mathew Lee.
He is preceded in death by his father.
The family will have a private service. A public party for all Bobby's friends to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the VFW in Denton. Bobby's family looks forward to sharing stories and memories of him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Bobby's name to the American Valor Foundation or the Wounded Warriors Project.
