Bonnie Ely Arthur passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at her residence. Bonnie was born October 2, 1926 in Tahoka, Texas to C.L. and Alma Haynes Ely. She graduated from Sunset High School in 1943. Bonnie moved to Lubbock, TX where she met George A. Arthur. They were married on December 24, 1948. During their 62 year marriage, they lived in several Texas cities, including Lubbock, Plano and Denton.

Bonnie worked 17 years at Fenner Tubbs Company in Lubbock and at ITT Credit Corporation in Richardson for 10 years. She retired in 1988. She was a member of Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, brother, C.L. Ely, Jr. and sister, Jonnie Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Arthur White and husband Bill of Horseshoe Bay; son, David Arthur and wife Pam of Denton; 3 grandchildren, Amy White Stonaker and husband Michael of Houston, Kyle Arthur of Sanger and Ashley Arthur of Denton; and 2 great grandchildren, Sydney and Dylan Stonaker of Houston.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Singing Oaks Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
