Obituary

Bonnie Caroll Horn, 77, of Denton passed from this life to eternal life where she will be free of the cancer that took her so suddenly.

She was born in Evansville, Ind. on Jan. 30, 1936 and is preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Elsie Ritter.

As an Air Force wife, she lived in Mississippi, Texas, California, Kansas, Montana and Louisiana before returning to Texas in 1975. After her retirement from Acme Brick, she was a proud volunteer with the Denton Police Department and Denton State Supported Living Center (formerly the Denton State School).

Those who knew her are probably in possession of a gift she so lovingly made for you. She was always working on something for someone.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James R. Horn, and their three children Karen Guenther and husband Ronnie of Lewisville, Allan Horn and wife Anne of Houston, and Brian Horn and wife Dawn of Pilot Point.

In addition, she is survived by five grandchildren, Kendra Horn, Nicole Wray, Duncan Horn, Krista Horn and Madison Horn.

Other survivors include a sister, Tommie Euler of Evansville, sister-in-law Mareem Horn of Evansville, sister-in-law Margaret Snyder and husband Art of New Port Richey, Fla. Along with nephews, Michael Horn, Patrick Horn, Pat Snyder, Shawn Euler and Dirk Euler

We know she will be met in heaven by the wonderful pets who have gone before her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 1-3 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the many wonderful people at Presbyterian Hospital who took care of her and helped us in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of Karen, or to an animal rescue group of your choice.
