Obituary

Bonnie Maxwell, a long-time resident of Denton, passed away Wednesday March 16, 2016, she was 94. She was born on October 7, 1921 in Germany to Joseph and Helene Kalka. After moving to Denton in 1967 she attended both the University of North Texas and TWU and worked in Real Estate as an agent before retiring in 1986. Bonnie could never sit still and after retiring she enjoyed doing volunteer work at both St Marks Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church which she was a member.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Green and husband William of Conroe, Texas, one son, John G. Maxwell Jr. and wife Diane of Kilauea, Hawaii, one sister, Ruth Berg of Georgetown, Texas, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lt Col. John Maxwell, parents, one sister, Elizabeth Geirl and brother, Paul Kalka.

Rosary will be Monday March 21, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral will be Tuesday March 22, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, Texas. Burial will be in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a later date.
