John Bradley (Brad) Rountree:

Brad was born on May 18, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana died unexpectedly on October 26, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife Karin, son Kyle, and daughter Rachael of Lake Dallas, Texas; mother and stepfather Pat and Barry Elsom of Galveston, Texas; father Rick Rountree, his significant other Carol Jacobson and her daughter Natalie; sister Gail Blaylock, husband John and their children Austin and Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma. Brad is also survived by sister-in-law Dagmar Wood, her husband Eric and their four children; in-laws Elke and Jim Mitchell, Dieter and Trudy Deuchler and many friends who will miss him deeply.

Brad graduated from Paris, Texas High School and Paris Junior College. Brad loved the outdoors and was running his own ranch / petting zoo outside Marietta, Oklahoma at the time of his death. Brad had a big heart, a loving personality and never knew a stranger. Brad will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched.

Visitation and memorial services were held on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Chapel, 2025 West University Drive, Denton, TX 76201. The services were performed by the family's Pastor Jeff Wickwire. Burial followed immediately thereafter at Swisher Cemetery near the family's home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Dallas Animal Services, P. O. Box 368, Lake Dallas, TX 75065 in honor of Brad's love for animals.
