Brenda June Conaway Ennis, born on October 10, 1945, in Lewisville, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Flower Mound, Texas. Brenda married Michael Ennis on June 16th,1967.  She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Brenda adored being a grandmother, known as Mae. She enjoyed being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a person of very strong faith and was daily in prayer. She loved the cooler weather and going to the Colorado mountains with her husband. She enjoyed spending time outside tending to her favorite flowers and watching the hummingbirds. She loved the tradition of the holidays and spent hours with her grandchildren passing down family recipes and sharing her memories - only pausing to fix her L'Oréal #860 lipstick.

Brenda is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Mike Ennis, and their children, Julie Holley of Ponder, and Shawn Ennis with his wife Carena of Sanger, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Sharlett Gameson of Denton, Texas, and her sister-in-law, Elaine Murdock of Brownwood, Texas. Brenda was cherished by her grandchildren, Samantha Pippin Seamans, Andrew, Chainey Holley Dodd, Kooper, Taylor Holley, Josh Ennis, Fiancé Kaylee, Abby Ennis, and Ben Ennis, as well as her great-grandchild, Emery Dodd, and her aunt and uncle -in-law, Bill and Anne Ennis of Denton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Everett Conaway and Willie Mae Taylor Conaway, and her sister, Gail Rhoten.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 10 AM at Ponder Cowboy Church in Ponder, Texas. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5 PM to 7 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Brenda will be laid to rest at Eakins Cemetery in Ponder, Texas. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
