Bridget "Belle" Power, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born on June 9, 1932 and was the 9th child of 12 born to Ellen & David O'Keeffe of Avoncore, Midleton, Co. Cork, Ireland. Theirs was a small house filled with laughter, love, music and creativity, with always enough room for one more at the table. Irish hospitality was always important to Belle.
She was the last one of her siblings to leave this life and join her family and loved ones in Heaven.

Belle moved to New York in 1954 and married the love of her life, Dave Power from Killeagh Co. Cork, on April 14,1955 in Huntington, New York. She had three children ... Eileen, Sean and Deirdre. In 1974, Deirdre tragically died from a virus that attacked her heart. Deirdre is buried in Midleton, Co. Cork.

Belle and her family never wanted to lose touch with their extended family and friends in Ireland so they made many trips between New York and Ireland, initially on ocean liners like QE2, QE1, the SS America and SS United States and later many Aer Lingus flights from JFK New York to Shannon Airport. She and Dave planned to retire in Ireland but decided instead to move to Texas in 1995 to be near their daughter Eileen, her husband St. John and their children and grandchildren. In addition to being a great seamstress, Belle also loved playing the piano, gardening, shopping (especially for shoes) and baking.

She is survived by her daughter Eileen (husband St. John Murphy and their children Stephen, Lisa, Kevin and Deirdre) and by her son Sean (wife Theresa). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Nora, Julia and Daniel Fraile and by Olivia and Liam Murphy. Belle is reunited in eternal life with her parents Ellen and David O'Keeffe, her husband Dave Power, her daughter Deirdre Power, her siblings Mary, Haulie, Philip, Paddy, Kathleen, Sr. Marciana, Jude, Tony, Gob, Philomena, Oliver and their spouses.
