Bruce Henry Hinrichs, a Denton, TX resident for 31 years, passed on to his heavenly home on May 26 at his daughter's home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was 73.

Bruce was born in Little Rock, IA on February 3, 1939 and a graduate from Little Rock High School and served in the United States Army. Bruce worked as a Bread salesman in Dallas for 20 years. After retiring he worked as a part time bus driver for DCTA at UNT. Bruce was a member of Shady Shores Baptist Church.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. Fred and Maggie Hinrichs, Sisters Jennie L Drenth, Anna Mae Klaassen and his son David.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara (Jansen) Hinrichs, his daughter Heidi Avera, her husband Jim and grandson Andrew all of Denton, Texas and his brother Willis Hinrichs and family of Ankeny, Iowa, and many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life service will be held at Shady Shores Baptist Church on Saturday June 2, 2012 at 1PM. Family request donations to Shady Shores Baptist Church in lieu of Flowers.
