C. Wayne Caviness 71 of Sanger passed away Friday, April 18th, 2014.  He was born June 3, 1942 in Dallas to Cleo E. Caviness and Aletha Mae Kropp Caviness. He served in the US Army  from 1964 to 1966.   Wayne married Fay N. McGee on June 15, 1964 in Alexandria, VA and was a member of the Marsh Lane Baptist Church in Dallas.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors Monday night from 6 to 8:00 p.m. for visitation.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Fay Caviness, his children, Valeria Caviness, Lisa Lahti, Shawn Caviness, grandchildren, Ischelle Hobgood, Jennifer Lahti, James Lahti II, Brandye Caviness, Justin Caviness, Jessica Caviness, great grandchildren, Brian Hobgood, Amber Hobgood, Isaac Hobgood, sisters, Shirley Gray, Lynda Foster, Winnona Hunsinger.  Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Cleo and Aletha Caviness and a son Michael Wayne Caviness.
