Obituary

Cade was born 01 December 1980 in Albuquerque, NM to Sharon and Gerard Brackeen.  He quickly earned the nickname "Moose" because you could actually see him grow!  At 6 months of age, he was 26 lbs and 32" long.  As an infant, he moved with his parents and siblings to Greenville, Texas.  He spent his primary school years at St. Paul's Episcopal School, which evolved into The Phoenix School, then grade school at Travis Elementary before moving to Denton with his father.

He shined as he played coronet in the Denton High School Jazz band, and was Goalie on the School's Soccer Team before graduating from Denton High School in 1999.  He had various jobs before entering the U.S. Army where he served two terms in Iraq and one in Korea.  Coming home in 2011, he married Cassie Clevenger in 2013.  He was blessed with two children, Annberlyn Olivia Brackeen on 03 October 2013, and Benjamin Matthew Brackeen on 17 December 2015.  Cade was generous, kind, quick-witted, and had a smile that would light any room.  He loved pineapple upside down cake, golf, and game play.  Cade was loved by anyone who met him.  Cade is well loved and survived by his mother, Sharon Dubcak Price, and step-father, Ronald Wayne Price, and his father, Gerard Brackeen, and step-mother Cathleen Brackeen.  Cade is also well-loved and survived by his brother, Aron Paul "Bosco" Brackeen, and his sister, Lauren Ann Keyawa, and brother-in-law, Josh Keyawa.  He is also well loved by his numerous step-sisters and step-brothers Celeste & Rick Kizer, Bart & Tami Price, Paul & Beth Price, Cynthia & Ixit Patel, Pamela Price & Todd Duarte, Holly Price & Jason Hughes, Megan & Matt Soda, Amanda Keith, and Scott Keith.  Cade is loved by many Aunts and Uncles, and Uncle Moose is loved and remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  A visitation honoring the life of Cade will be between 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, 13 June 2021, at the Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2025 West University Drive in Denton, Texas and the funeral service will be 10:00am on Tuesday, June 15 th , at the same location, followed by interment in the Dallas National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a donation be made in Cade's name to The Disabled American Veterans at P.O.
