Carl E. Allen, 80 of Denton passed away at his granddaughters house on Thursday,April 10, 2014 in Denton, Texas. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Carl was born on July 23, 1933 in Denton, Texas to Will and Gladys (Hunt) Allen. He attended Cooper Creek Schools in Denton, County. Carl married Oleta Allen in Gainsville, Texas on October 13, 1951. Carl spent most of his career in Hardware sales in Pilot Point, Denton and Sanger, Texas.

Mr. Allen is survived by his son, Eddie Allen of Denton, Sisters; Geneva Turbeyville of Garland, Texas, Wanda McDonough of Justin, Texas and Jessie Ruth Cantrell of Denton, Texas. Carl has two grandchildren Kristina Strong "Skeeter" and Karl D.Allen "Shorty". Carl and four great grandchildren. Preston Allen, Alexis Allen, Gage Strong and Slate Allen. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Oleta Allen, son, Danny Allen and Brother Earl Allen.

The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6-8 pm. There will be a funeral service held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 15, burial will follow at Cooper Creek Cemetery.
