Carol Jean Bellar, 68 of Pilot Point, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 11, 2025 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born August 14, 1956 in Denton to Raymond James and Bobbie Jean Taylor Blakeley. She graduated from Denton High School.
Carol married Max Bellar on November 23, 1973 in Denton. They are members of the Gracepointe Church on McKinney St. in Denton. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Walmart for 12 years and Mervyn's for 24 years, making many dear lifelong friends. She loved living in the country and watching her goats and donkeys multiply and grow. The songbirds knew where to go for a good meal; she provided plenty. The highlight of her life was visiting with her children and grandchildren and learning about their lives. Carol was sincere to the core and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be 5-7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. She will be laid to rest at Belew Cemetery in Pilot Point, Texas.
Carol is survived by her husband, Max Bellar, children, Michael Bellar and fiance Amy Fuller, Michelle Hill and husband Scott, grandchildren Benjamin and Samantha Hill, brother Larry Blakeley and wife Debbie and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Freda Crawford.
