Carol-Ann (Reeh) Chapman, 78 of New Braunfels, Texas passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, in Denton, Texas.

She was born on February 15, 1947, in New Braunfels, Texas to Raymod “Ramsey” Reeh and Myrtle Nowotny Reeh.

Carol graduated from Canyon High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in education from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University).

Carol married Michael Carr Chapman on October 19th, 1968, in New Braunfels, Texas. Together they built a loving home in New Braunfels and raised two daughters. Carol was known for her kindness, warmth and sweet-tempered personality. Carol loved reading the Bible and watching the Hallmark Channel, but nothing brought her more joy than cheering on her grandchildren Boston and Luke, whether at orchestra concerts, Ballet Folklórico and Nutcracker performances, or baseball games in the Texas sun, her favorite hat always in place. She also cherished her weekly lunch dates with her daughter Keri.

She is survived by her daughter Keri Lynn Sourdot, her son in law Dr. Ludovic A. Sourdot and her grandchildren Luke and Boston William Sourdot of Denton and members of the Reeh, Seekatz and Sourdot Families.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond “Ramsey” Reeh and Myrtle Nowotny Reeh, her husband Michael Carr Chapman and her oldest daughter Stacey Elizabeth Chapman.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on December 29, 2025, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas (Shelter # 1).
