Carol Lu Evelsizer-Taylor, 84, passed away peacefully in her home on June 24, 2017 in Denton, Texas. Carol was born on December 30, 1932 in El Reno, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lelia S. and W. Kenneth Cosby. Carol graduated from El Reno High School in 1951. She moved to Florissant, Missouri with her husband Lorne Evelsizer who preceded her in death on July 4, 2001. Carol worked as a bookkeeper for several physician's in Florissant and retired in 1995. She was blessed later in life to meet and marry a wonderful man, James W. Taylor from Sanger, Texas.

Carol loved music and often sang at church and weddings. She also enjoyed cooking and prepared countless meals for the VFW in Denton.

Carol is survived by her husband, James W. Taylor of Denton; son Vincent E. Evelsizer, Sharon Evelsizer (daughter-in-law)of Little Elm, Texas, daughter Sharon D. Garrett, Greg Garrett (son-in-law) of Corinth, Texas, grandson William Evelsizer and wife Amanda of Los Angeles, California, granddaughter Jessica Evelsizer of Carrollton, Texas, grandson Rick Evelsizer of Little Elm,  granddaughter Alyssa Stewart and husband Derek of Collinsville, granddaughter Erica Stewart and husband Dillon of Collinsville.

Visitation will be held on July 1, 2017 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Wilson's Funeral Home in El Reno, Oklahoma. A graveside service will directly follow visitation at 2:00PM at El Reno Cemetery in El Reno, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest beside her mother Lelia S. Vian and her brother James K. Cosby.
