IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Sue
Gonzalez
October 28, 1955 – May 17, 2023
Carol Sue Gonzalez passed away in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to Teddy B. Palmore and Addie Sue Palmore on October 28, 1955. As an Air Force daughter, Carol was given the opportunity to travel many different places around the world. However, one of the greatest influences of her early years would be growing up in a family of educators. Carol would eventually graduate from East Texas State, obtain her master's degree, and have a lifelong career in Elementary Education until retiring in 2009. She had a love and passion for reading. Countless people can attribute their successes to the fact that Carol Gonzalez taught them to read.
Even more important to Carol, than her role as an educator, was her role as a mother. Raising, teaching, and loving Joshua and Alicia was one of the greatest joys of her life. However, the joy of motherhood would eventually be overshadowed by the love she had for her 6 grandchildren.
Family and friends would all agree that Carol has left a legacy of love and faith. If you knew Carol, then you loved her. She loved well and you would never meet a more hospitable person and the fruit of her faith in Jesus Christ will continue in her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Monday at First Baptist Church of Denton, with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

She is also survived by her father, Ted Palmore, her brother, Tim Palmore and family, her sister, Cherie Moreno and family.
