Carol Ann Puddy Keathly, 75, of Krum Texas passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at approximately 10:25 pm at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, TX. A memorial service will be held at the DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, TX on Wednesday, Dec 3 at 4:00 pm. A graveside service and burial will follow on Friday, Dec 5 at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Ponca City, OK.
Carol was born Dec. 27, 1938, the daughter of Mildred and Lester Puddy in Ponca City, OK. She was a graduate of Ponca City High School and attended Oklahoma State University. She resided in Ponca City until 2008, when she moved to Krum, TX.
She was a lifelong employee of Conoco, Inc. and an avid sports enthusiast, both as a player and a spectator. She was an ardent supporter of her OSU Cowboys in all sports, as well as a golfer. She enjoyed walking at the YMCA and playing table tennis, for which she won many tournaments during her days playing in the Conoco Gym. She was also a supporter of the arts, enjoying many wonderful programs produced by the Tulsa Opera, Ponca Playhouse and other musical and performance programs whenever possible.
Carol enjoyed people and maintained many lifelong friendships, as well as making new friends wherever she went. She rarely missed an opportunity to turn a stranger into an acquaintance and friend and share a story and a laugh.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brother, Donald Puddy.
Carol is survived by her son, David of Collinsville, TX and his fiancée Sabrena Vick and her son Wheeler Hayes; Joe Pagnusat of Krum, TX; Sister-in-law Dana Puddy and nephews Mike Puddy, Doug Puddy, Glenn Puddy and their families.
