Carol "Jane" Stroud, 76, of Denton passed away on November 4th, 2024, in Denton. She was born in Denton on May 12, 1948, to Warren and Ceci (Monroe) Whitson, Jr.

Jane loved her family most of all. She enjoyed listening to the stories of the day that were told by family members. She rarely gave advice but was always there to listen. She loved to travel, seeing this great country. She enjoyed traveling with her family most of all. She brightened the day of so many people.

Jane is survived by her sons, Robert Stroud and his wife, Deanna, of Thomas, Oklahoma, Clarence Stroud and his partner, Shannon Beier, of Denton, sister, Lynn Carrico of Denton, and Deanie Willis of Argyle, brother, Warren Whitson III, and wife Glenda of Aubrey, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stroud, and her mother and father.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 10:00 PM at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM at Van Alstyne Cemetery, in Van Alstyne, Texas.
