Carolyn Lea Maples-Smith, 66, of Argyle, Texas, entered the hands of God on Thursday evening, October 29, 2015.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Larry Smith, father, Larry Maples, sister, Cathy Sutton, daughter, Lori Walsh, son-in-law, Kenny Walsh, step-daughter, Michelle Peer, step-sons, Blake Smith and Matthew Smith, grandchildren, Cameron Walsh, Mallory Walsh, Morlie Smith, Ashley Peer, Audrey Peer, and Devere Peer III. She is preceded in death by her mother, Loys Maples.

Carolyn Lea was an extraordinary woman and a woman of God, who loved her family and friends very deeply. Her exuberant smile will never be forgotten as she spread light and joy into the lives of everyone she encountered. Whether she was travelling across the globe to see the beauty of the world or spending time with her family at home, Carolyn always lived her life with love and compassion for others.
