Carolyn Elaine McCreless, 80 of Krum, passed away Saturday morning, August 25, 2018, at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.  She was born in Houston, Texas, to Grover Carrel Lakey and Vivian Alene Mitchell Lakey.  She married James Marion McCreless on July 4, 1957, who preceded her in death in September, 2001.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas, with the Reverend Jim Porter officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM prior to the service, with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Carolyn is survived by 2 daughters, Robin Bayer and husband Mike of Krum and Karen West and husband Larry of Trophy Club; 4 grandchildren Kelsey Bayer, Karley Bayer, Katy West and Carson West; 2 great grandchildren Abel West and Alexander West.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and sisters, Joyce Ramsey and Patricia Harris.
