Catalina Marqués Curbelo, 85, of Hickory Creek, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at her home. She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Juan Marqués Mayol and Lelis Mera Paulino on February 21, 1936.

She attended Colegio San Felipe in Arecibo and later on went to Saint Joseph College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and completed a medical secretarial program in Puerto Rico. She married the late Dr. Pablo G. Curbelo Pizá on December 22, 1956 in Arecibo. She and Pablo had five children.

Catalina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, warmth, and generosity.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children: Marilina, Carmen, Camila, Pablo José y Ana; her grandchildren: Daniel, Gabriela, Erica, Lara, Antonio, Miguel Guillermo, Pablo Alejandro, Catalina and Julián; her great grandchild Lazlo; and her siblings: Bernardo, Lelis and Juan.

The Curbelo Marqués family will be taking Catalina home to Puerto Rico.
