Obituary

What a blessed day it was when God gave us the gift of Catherine Jean Fedor on September 3, 1946. She was born to Edward Lakowski and Jean Dawidowicz Lakowski in the city of Chicago, Illinois. Cathy was joined by her older brother Edward Lakowski (deceased) and later by sister Christine Lakowski and Leonard Lakowski.

While attending school at Middle Tennessee State University, Cathy met Tom Fedor. God blessed them in marriage, and they shared almost fifty-seven years together. God sent them two wonderful children, Michael Thomas Fedor and Rachel Catherine Fedor Hardin. The blessings kept coming with their nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Following God's call for their lives after early marriage, Cathy and Tom relocated to Dallas, Texas, leaving family in Illinois and Ohio, It wasn't until sometime later that Mark 10:29's truth became clear to them as they were blessed with much larger families as members of the Christian Community of God's Delight, along with various ministries and Catholic parishes, most recently with St. Mark Catholic Church in Argyle Texas.

Cathy continued to follow what she and Tom felt was God's plan by again relocating, this time to Corinth, Texas where God's next plan for Cathy was to teach a new and strange thing called "Water Aerobics" at Texas Woman's University in nearby Denton, Texas. Cathy enjoyed over twenty-five years leading old and young alike through many challenging and therapeutic exercises. In the process, she developed what might be called an "Aquatic Prayer Group" as many members shared their lives and faith in the water.

In more recent years, Cathy's passions, along with her faith, family and aquatics, were learning and devouring the revelations from God about The Gift of Living in God's Divine Will. Simply put, God offers each of us the Gift to not only "do" His Will but to live in It. To Live in God's Will is to understand that God created each one of us with a unique plan for our lives. If we follow His plan, our life will not be trouble free, but we will experience God's peace as we work through life's challenges knowing that these are part of God's plan. Cathy lived her life pursuing God's Will for her life with all her heart.

We thank everyone for all the love and prayers that we have received as Cathy struggled through the last months of her life. We are now at peace knowing she is enjoying her eternal reward with Our Father, Our Lord Jesus, the Blessed Mother and all the angels and saints. Fiat.
