Catherine Marie Pennell

Catherine Marie Pennell, born on February 17, 1940, in Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Corinth, Texas. A dedicated nurse with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Catherine spent her life caring for others, embodying compassion and professionalism in every endeavor she undertook in her esteemed career as an RN.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Floyd Edison Pennell, and their daughter, Ann Marie Bartek. Catherine cherished her family deeply, and the bonds they shared will forever remain a testament to her loving nature.

Catherine is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Washington Hatch, and her father, Claude William Hibbetts. Their absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her.

A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, located at 300 West Oak Street, Denton, TX 76201, on January 19, 2026. The service will commence at 10:00 AM. Catherine will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park following the service. All who knew and loved Catherine are invited to gather in remembrance of her remarkable life and the enduring impact she made on everyone around her.
