Cathryn Louise Muirhead Hinkle, 74, of Denton, Texas passed away on May 9, 2024 in Denton. She was born in Germany, on August 3, 1949, to Charles Lee Muirhead, Jr., and Geraldine Louise (Hart) Muirhead.
Cathryn graduated from Denton High School in the class of 1967. She the attended Texas Woman's University. Cathy won the title of "Maid of Cotton" in 1969, in which she was able to represent the School, Nation and Industry on a World Tour meeting Global Leaders.
Cathryn married William H. Hinkle in 1979, and moved to Denver, CO. The couple had two daughters, one that would not know the world and the other, Kelly who would catch her mother's wonder with exploring it.
Cathy returned to Denton, her home, in 1993 to care for her parents. She enjoyed her commitment to the community, her family and her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Louise Hinkle Erdmann, and her husband, Jerrod Erdmann of Anchorage, Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Gregory Muirhead, and her daughter Joy Elizabeth Hinkle.
There will be a small service at 3pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Lake Forest Village.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis, Texas.
