Cecil Loren Bivins, 85, of Greenbrier, Arkansas (formerly of Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas) went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2016. He was born on March 29, 1931 in Ladonia, Texas to Arthur and Ophelia Isom Bivins. He married his wife of sixty-six years, Dorothy Jo Mason, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Cecil graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom Lake and a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge. He was very involved in the community, serving as an EMT on the volunteer EMS, President of the Graford PTA, and Graford City Councilman. Cecil was a retiree of General Motors in Arlington, Texas.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jo Bivins of Greenbrier; daughter Lori Craig of Vilonia, Arkansas; daughter Anna Cooper and husband Brandon, also of Vilonia; and granddaughter Bethany Craig of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 10:00 A.M-12:00 P.M. and followed by a graveside service at Cooper Creek Cemetery in Denton at 2:00 P.M.
