Cecilia "Kaye" Mitchell passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Tuesday March 28,2023. She has gained her wings and now is at peace and reunited with family and friends that had left her too soon. She was born in Gainesville, Texas to Juanita and Cecil Ice. She lived in Bowie most of her childhood, she attended Bowie High School. Kaye moved to Krum in 1974 and lived there until moving to Ponder in 2022. She decorated cakes for 35 years at Walmart where she met a lot of amazing friends. She retired from Walmart at the age of 74. Kaye was loved by many. She was a very friendly person and never met a stranger. She tried to treat everyone with respect. Kaye lived for her family and would do anything in the world for them, she lived a full life and her grandchildren, and her great grandkids were her world. She loved going to all their events and cheered them on loudly. Kaye loved traveling with her late husband. She loved flowers and plants and the Nascar races. Kaye lived her life like there was no tomorrow.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Juanita Ice, her late husband Jerry dale Mitchell, Her son David Wesley Reynolds and grandson Jace Powell

Kaye is survived by her daughter Angie Pacheco and her husband Frank from Corpus Christi, Texas, Daughter Mindy Kaye Reynolds from Denton, Texas. Grandchildren Preston Fuentez from Denton Texas, Presley Kaye Fuentez from Ponder, Texas. Great Grandchildren Corbin Schwartz and Kinlee Kaye Keeland from Ponder, Texas and her number one side kick her beloved dog, Ginger Mitchell.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Home. A funeral service will also be held at the DeBerry Funeral Home on Monday, April 3, 2023 starting at 2:00 PM. Internment will be held at Jackson Cemetery following the service.
