Obituary

Celeste Cherube McDonald Billmyre, CeCe, lost her battle with the auto-immune disease that afflicted her on July 2nd, 2026 in North Richland Hills, Texas where she lived with her husband, Aaron, and daughter, Evelyn.

Celeste blessed us and was born on Valentins's Day, February 14, 1995, in Fort Worth, Texas. Celeste was the oldest of 4 siblings, often helping in a motherly fashion with them. Celeste helped take care of the entire family always being there when needed. Celeste was very gifted. She attended the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts from 3rd through the start of her Senior (12th grade) year. She fought through several obstacles but exceled in school. She completed the year and graduated in 2013. Celeste was a talented dancer. Celeste started dance competition at age 5 in a jazz routine where her team placed 1st nationally. She continued dancing throughout school with her team often winning 1st place awards regionally and nationally. Celeste danced in a myriad of genres including ballet, point, tap, clogging, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop and musical theatre. Celeste loved the outdoors and nature. She loved camping as a child and was in a girl scout troop; however, the camping trips that she enjoyed most were the family trips that she attended when her brother, Brendan, whom was a boy scout, Celeste would spend the trips digging holes and would lead the boys in adventures in whatever free time they had. Celeste took part in several camps during her childhood from sleep away camps at the girl scout property and El Tesoro, to art camps at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, several dance and dance intensive camps, a sleep away camp at the Fort Worth Zoo to learn about animal husbandry, to have close contact with the zoo animals, and take part in their care, and also sleep away camp at Saint Crucis. Eventually Celeste worked as a volunteer camp counselor herself at Camp Crucis. At 13, Celeste started volunteering at Hangman's House of Horrors working as a childcare solution for the actors and staff. When she was 15, Celeste was not honest about her age to begin volunteering a year early in the building and planning of the attraction going onto becoming an actress once they opened for the Halloween season. She found her place in becoming a hillbilly child called Petunia of the hillbilly leader Pa Mcdagen was at a house building day that Celeste first met Aaron. They were instantly inseparable. Celeste had found her person. They fought through the odds and married on January 19th, 2019. Although they both stopped working or volunteering at local haunted houses, they still loved Halloween and would spend months planning for the decorations at their home. Every Halloween they put on an impressive display and go above and beyond engaging with the neighborhood. Celeste had started her career as a long-haul truck driver in 2018. Celeste was very ambitious in her career, often not being home for 4 to 6 weeks at a time. Celeste had personal goals and wanted to break glass ceilings as a driver. She had reached several personal milestones including becoming a well-respected qualified long-haul truck driver before she left her career to be a stay-at-home Mom. Celeste and Aaron purchased their home in North Richland Hills in 2021. Celeste spent the last 3 plus years being a homemaker while battling her condition. She loved plants and has worked at re-landscaping their home, growing vegetables and berries, and expanding the number of plants she had in search of " those special ones." She has painted and decorated the house from scratch. Celeste had a great love for music and went to any concert that she had a chance to attend. Celeste also loved animals and everyone knew that at any time there may be a rescue that she was going to take on for any type of animal in need. Celeste prided herself in being the best Mom to EV that was possible, She spent the last year homeschooling her with a pre-k curriculum that they completed shortly before Celeste passed.

Celeste left behind her husband, Aaron Mathew Billmyre. Her 3-year-old daughter, Evelyn Faye Billmyre. She is survived by her Mom, Brandy Ackel Nicholson and step-father Matthew Nicholson. She was preceded in death by her father, Shawn Patrick McDonald. She has 3 surviving siblings, Brendan McDonald, Crow Stinson, and Kris Stinson. She is also survived by her grandmother Robin Smith, step grand-father Dennis Smith, and grandfather Vandy Ackel. She was accepted by Aaron's family and considered them as hr family also. Mother-in- law, Wendy Brigman, father-in-law Ron Billmyre, brothers David Agnew, Billy Vaselo, Ronnie Billmyre, and sister Ashley Billmyre. She left behind a niece Layla McDonald, and nephews Malcolm and Fabian McDonald. She is also survived by her Godmothers, Georgette Lopez-Aguado and Geneva Goode-Lackey. There are several other people that have been truly heartbroken by this loss and the love they had for Celeste.

We will celebrate the life of Celeste on Friday, July 24th at 1:00 PM. The service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home, 2025 West University, Denton, Texas 76201. Celeste's final wish was to be cremated and planted as a tree which we are honoring. Celeste ashes will be laid to rest with a special urn that will fulfill this wish. she will be planted with a white oak tree on a family-owned property in a private service. We are also having a private service in Grandview for her extended family there. Everyone is welcome to her life celebration at DeBerry, and the family would appreciate all that care to attend and help to honor Celeste, and a life gone too soon.

In lieu of traditional flowers, Celeste would have preferred any support go towards Aaron to help in raising EV as a solo parent Dad (with a village of support.) Any amount of support will help in this transitional time. There is a Go Fund Me in Celeste's name, or donations can be given to an immediate family member which will then be passed onto Aaron. We are creating a memory box to later be given to EV once she is old enough to understand and appreciate the contents. If you have a trinket or story, you would like to provide, we would love to have those in her box. Please give them to any immediate family member. If you feel like you would prefer to send flowers, please choose a plant or live flower instead.
