Obituary

Celeste A. Blackburn, our beloved wife, sister, and aunt passed away quietly on April 15, 2016 in Denton, Texas at the age of 72. She was born on Aug 8, 1943 in Burns, TN to R. L. and Ida Andrews. She was married to Gerald Max Blackburn on December 31, 1962 in Abilene, TX.

Celeste was a very spiritual person, and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a talented decorator, collecting beautiful and interesting antiques, a wonderful cook, and she had a generous and thoughtful soul.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ret Col. Gerald Max Blackburn; sister, Emily Kile and husband Tim of Spokane WA.; brother Pat Andrews and wife Joann of Abilene, TX; along with numerous well loved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends. All will miss her greatly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, David and Sigmond Andrews.

A Memorial service will be held April 19, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Vision, 34834 Werehauser Way South, PO Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063-7816.
