Obituary
Chalisa Lenise Smith, 17, of Denton, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Denton. She was born on September 26, 1996 to Jason Savage and Crystal Smith.
Chalisa was involved in competitive cheer leading, modeling, volley ball, basketball, softball, dance, school cheer leading, and a future actress all prior to being diagnosed with Neuro Blastoma. Since being diagnosed she was a champion fighter!!!
The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors Tuesday, February 18 from 6-8 pm for a visitation. There will be a funeral service held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Tioga United Methodist Church. Burial will be held at Mars Hill Cemetery in Verda, Louisiana.
Chalisa is survived by her parents, Jason Savage and Crystal Smith; grandparents, Denise Hale and Bruce Smith; brothers, Ethan Hendrix and Eston Smith; sister, Ashley Savage; uncles, Tim Smith, Jo Savage, Jeff Savage, James Savage, John Savage, Mark Hale, Duane Hale, Kenny Southerland, Scott Otwall, and Scott Ramsey; aunts, Becky Otwall, Leigh Ramsey, Tammy Quinley, Sandra Hale, and Nona Savage; and a host of cousins and friends.
