Charleen Brown Walker, 83, of Denton, Texas passed away on July 16, 2023, in Denton, Texas. Charleen was born in Plum, Texas on January 23, 1940, to Charlie Brown and Virginia Collins.  She attended school at Peabody in Hillsboro, Texas. Later, she moved to Plainview, Texas and worked for the Plainview Country Club for 14 years.

Charleen married Lonnie Walker August 9, 1958 and from this union they shared eight children. Mikel Brown, Linda Brown, Debra Banks (Gerald), Sharean Wilson (Joseph), Barbara Davis (Billy), Rhonda Harper, and Tonja Poarch (James). All of whom survived her departure.

Charleen was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Brown and Virginia Collins, children, Jerry Walker and Dewayne Walker, siblings, Maxine Nash, Myra Slusher, Virginia Williams, Elmore Brown, and great grandson Dalante Williams.

Surviving family members also include 18 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, her siblings include Beatrice Roberts from Riverside, California, Callie Williams from Palm Springs, California, Doris Lynch from Jacksonville, Alabama. Special sister-in-law Lee Thomas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Charleen loved playing bingo, watching westerns, listening to the blues with Lonnie, and enjoyed being with family.
