Charles LeRoy Gierhart, 66, of Argyle passed away on August 27, 2017 in Denton, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1951 in Sterling, IL. to Clyde Gray and Virginia (Spott) Gierhart. Chuck married the love of his life Roberta "Bird" Jones in 1971.

Chuck had recently retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, where he had worked for 35 years. His kind soul will be missed by many friends and family members.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 45 years, Roberta, daughter, Angela Rose Orr, son, Patrick Charles Gierhart, brother, Larry Clyde Gierhart and two granddaughters, Emily Rose Orr and Mika Gierhart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Virginia and older brother, Raymond Francis Gierhart.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
