Charles "Charlie" Arthur Grahl, 87, of Denton, TX. passed away on Dec. 21, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Aubrey, TX. to the late Robert and Edna Grahl.

Charlie Proudly served his country as an infantryman in the US Army. He went on to spend a 47 year career with Coca Cola, retiring as regional manager. He had better not catch you drinking any other soda brand or else! He loved raising a vegetable garden and you would find him there after a hard day's work.

Charlie loved sports and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. Friday nights were spent grilling and enjoying Denton Broncos games. He also loved to golf, hunt and fish.

Charlie loved to tinker with small engines and would travel around to garage sales and trade days acquiring mowers and various things to repair and sell from his carport. In his later years, you would find him playing cards and rolling dice with his buddies at the ELK Lodge, his home away from home. He never met a stranger and was known for helping others.

Charlie loved country music and was quite the dancer in younger days. Also among his favorite things in life were his many beloved animals over the years. Chica, Fluffy and Lucky will miss him terribly.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Grahl, daughters Ginger Alford of Lexington, Ky, Pam (Bob) Summers of Krum, and Kay Long of Denton, sons Bobby (Rosie) Driver of Salt Lake, Utah and Monte Grahl of Denton. He is also survived by his brother Donald (Laura) Grahl of Denton, nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Allen, sister Marie Grahl, brother Leon Grahl and his parents. Charlie loved his family dearly and his passing leaves a huge void for all.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, TX.
