Charles Leslie Smelser (Charlie), 79, of Denton passed away November 11, 2012. Charlie was born in Frisco, TX on January 23, 1933.
He was a very active in the musical community for the last 60 years. He loved playing the guitar and singing county and western music.
He is survived by his wife, Leana Copeland Smelser, 9 children, Dale Smelser, Gale Touchstone, Cynthia Smelser, Dianne Jester, David Faulkenberry, Jeannie McClelland, Linda Rawls, Kathy Perkins and Carol Carlin. He had 40 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A memorial visitation and gathering will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at DeBerry Funeral Directors.
