Charles Edward North, Jr. 81, of Denton, TX, passed away at his home on Monday, January 30, 2023.

Charles was born July 16,1941 in Kansas City, MO to Charles Edward North Sr. and Wanakee Veneice Lewis. He was employed by Duncan Printing Company as a pressman in Chicago, IL until his retirement.

Charles is survived by his wife of 15 years, Janet Carol North. They have lived in the Lewisville, Texas area since 2007.

He is also survived by:

• Former wife of 23 years, Sylvia Lynell North of Idabel, OK.
• Children - Michael David North of Van Nuys, CA; Charles Edward North III of Idabel, OK; Lynell Veneice Anderson and Son-In-Law, Steve Anderson both of Flower Mound, TX; Nadine Deneice North of Allen, TX; Monta' Troy North of Arlington, TX and Charleston Edward North of Lewisville, TX.
• Brother - Richard Leroy North and Sister-In-Law, Debrah North of Desoto, TX.

• Grandchildren - Sydney Anderson, Spencer Anderson, K'lyn North and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. North of Kansas City, MO; mother, Wanakee V. Lewis of Kansas City, MO; brother, Robert Ellis of Chicago, IL; and Sister-In-Law Hazel H. North of Desoto, TX.

Funeral services and viewing will be held in the Chapel of Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors - 2025 W. University Drive, Denton, Texas 76201, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:30 am – 12:00 noon.  Charles will be laid to rest at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Denton, TX.
