Obituary

Charles Fred Perry, Jr., 86 of Highland Village, passed away on September 2, 2023 in Lewisville, Texas. He was born on January 10, 1937 in Cyclone, West Virginia to Fred and Edna (Lusk) Perry. Charles married Mary Lou Blankenship on June 6th, 1958, and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.

He worked for Coca Cola for 38 years and retired at the age of 60. He was in the Army and Reserves from 1955 to 1963.

His favorite things were bowling, watching old westerns, and spending time with his two grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife Mary Perry, son Ronny Perry and wife Sarah, grandchildren Cody Perry and Rachel Perry, sister Patricia Gordon and husband Don, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, extended family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Maxine Saunders, Lillian Boren and Frances McCarty.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9th at 1 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm.
The services will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park following the funeral service.
