Obituary

Charles Volney Randall II was born April 13, 1939 in Denver, Colorado, to Charles Volney Randall, Sr. and Mary Gladys Rohrbach Randall. His family moved to Boise, Idaho, and later to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended high school. At the age of seventeen, he joined the Army and worked as the leader of a field radio unit, training to enter the Korean War. However, his team never boarded the ship since the war was almost over.

Charles passed to his Heavenly Father January 25, 2024 at his home in Decatur, Texas.

He was a forest fire fighter in Oregon for a few years, and when he returned to Arizona he went to work as a truck driver for Shell Oil Company.

He came to Dallas, Texas in 1969 with his two-year-old daughter and went to work at Womack Machine & Supply Company. Later, he drove a truck for Trinity Trucking Company for about a year. Determining he didn't like long distance driving, he returned to Womack in the mail room, but in a short time he began to rise in the company to inside salesman, with the object of becoming an outside salesman of hydraulics. He accomplished this goal and was one of the top salesmen. The last ten years before he retired he was the salesman for Womack at Halliburton, building and designing many of the oil field hydraulics they used.

Charles enjoyed his work and the many relationships he developed with his coworkers. When he retired, Womack kept him on to instruct new salesmen for a few years, and he was always available to share his knowledge.

He moved with his wife, Valette Randall to Decatur, Texas in 1994, which was a true blessing of God for both of them.

Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Gladys, his sister Mary and brother-in-law Donald Robinson, and sister Jeanie Wiley, as well as his nieces Cindy Coley and Laura Robinson. Also his beloved mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lyla and Carlton Cashon.

He is survived by his wife Valette Randall, and his precious daughter Patricia Kirkley and husband Jason. Grandchildren Christina Parker and her husband Jeff and their two children, Annabeth and Liam; Blake McKnight and his children, Raylee and Raiden; Joshua Kirkley and his wife Amber and their son Jackson. Nephew Donald Robinson and his daughter Ashley. And his brother-in-law Eugene (Uge) Wiley. As well as his nephew David Coley and his son and grandson. Friends and adopted family; Earl and Doris DuPree and Charles and Carol Jackson and daughters Kim Dill and Felisha Robertson.

Charles will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an amazing man, helping people whenever he could. Simply a gift from God to his wife who is looking forward to being with him again.

Charles was cremated and will return to the home he loved on Earth.
