Obituary

Charles Franklin Selby, 99, of Denton, passed away Thursday, April 07, 2016 in Denton. He was born October 29, 1916 in Little Elm to Henry Monroe Selby and Mamie Louise Gammon Selby. He married Nona Mavis Harpole on May 6, 1939 in Denton. He was the owner of Selby's Child Care. Prior to that he worked for J.L. Myers Well Drilling.

Graveside service will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Dunklau officiating.

He is survived by his daughters, Gayla Barrow and husband Jim of Argyle and Eva Norris and husband Howard of Denton; sister, Judy Crider of Liberty; 7 grandchildren, Justin Barrow, Nick Norris, Bonnie Norris, Robyn Darley, Dan Sinkler, Jeff Sinkler and Janet Shields and 5 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 75 years, daughter, Linda Sinkler, sisters, Margaret Snider, Merle Riney, and Jean Benson, brothers, Jake Selby, Guilminote Selby, and Henry Selby.
