Charlie Jo Guest, 86 of Denton, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2018 in Denton, Texas. She was born on May 13, 1931 in Munson, Texas to Elbert Roy and Mable (Reese) Nowlain.

She was a member at the First Baptist Church of Justin and a member of the Eastern Star. Charlie Jo was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She will be truly missed and remembered for her sweet and loving personality. Charlie Jo never turned down a hug.

Charlie Jo is survived by her daughters, Carlene Weightman and husband Terry of Garland, Mary Myrick and husband Glen of Georgetown, sons, Rex McMurry and wife Vickie of Argyle, Joe McMurry of Denton, Sam McMurry and wife Carrie of Peachtree City, GA., sister, Pat Patterson of Dallas and seven grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her infant son, Elbert Earl, her parents, husbands, Warren McMurry and Lynn Guest.

Prior to her death Charlie Jo resided in Justin, Texas, Willow Bend and Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living Communities.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Interment will follow at Justin Cemetery.
