Charlotte Marie Shoemake of Slidell, Texas passed away on December 1, 2017 at Wise Regional Hospital in Decatur, Texas. She was born on January 6, 1948 in Fresno California to Manuel Valencia and Elva Blackstone.

She was an Environmental supervisor at Denton Nursing and Rehab in Denton, Texas. She was married to the late Paul Edgar Shoemake. They were married on February 17, 1969 in El Paso, Texas.

Charlotte is survived by daughters: Sheila Stone of Illinois, Traci Box of Ponder, Texas, Jessica Loyd of Slidell, Texas, sons: Paul Shoemake of Denton, Texas , Jonathan Shoemake of Slidell, Texas, sisters: Barbara Rose, Jessie Johnson both of Arizona, brother: Bill Jones of Arizona, ten grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death her husband Paul, her parents, Manuel and Elva and brother, Ricky Jones.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
