Cheryl Lynn McLemore, 67, of Denton passed away on January 10, 2026, at her home. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on July 26, 1958 to David and June Wagner.
She grew up in Dayton and graduated from Belmont High School. In her younger years, she began her career at family operated Frisch’s Big Boy in Dayton, Ohio, starting at the age of 16 and continuing for two decades. Customers and colleagues alike adored her, and she created family like bonds with many.
Beyond her work, she was also known for her love of bowling and the joy she found in spending time with family. She was a devoted mother of three, and a grandmother. Holidays and special occasions were always made special by her dedication and love, ensuring that her family always felt cared for, no matter the circumstances.
Her strength and resilience were truly remarkable. Throughout her life, she faced numerous challenges with unwavering determination. She remained dedicated to foster a better future for her children through her constant presence, provision, and love. Her legacy of perseverance is a gift that will continue to inspire her children and grandchildren for generations to come. Her ability to remain strong and hopeful, even in the face of adversity, is a testament to her enduring spirit.
She is survived by her daughters, Tia Wagner, of Denton, Tx, Rebecca McLemore and spouse Jeff of Denton, Tx., her son, Eric McLemore of Denton, Tx. stepson Jason McLemore of Shawnee, Ks, grandchildren; Kandace, Kayden, Trevor, Chance, Camren, Carter, Kilian, Kinzi, Averi, Easton, Everli, great grandchild Nash, siblings Cindy Wagner, Mary Holly, Michael Wagner of Dayton, Oh.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Timothy, mother, father, brother David, grandson Killian.
The family will receive friends on Thursday January 29, 2026 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 5PM, until 7PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Interment will be held at Cooper Creek Cemetery in Denton, Texas.
