Steven "Chris" Pepper, 59, of Denton, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012. He was born on February 19, 1953 in Fort Worth to H.M. Pepper and Anna Jean Patterson Pepper. He married Debra Roach in Salado, TX.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 4-6 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 2:30 pm at the First Baptist Church in Justin with Rev. Kim Broadstreet officiating. Chris is survived by his wife, Debra; daughters, Christi Simmons and Kelli Escamilla; step daughters, Kristi Murray, Shauna Scarborough, and Robin Pruitt; sister, Jane Durrett; brothers, Barry Pepper and Keith Pepper; 10 grandchildren, Hayden, Grace and Kate Simmons, Molly and Maggie Escamilla, Hayden and Hannah Scarborough, Haylee and Mason Emery, and Knox Pruitt; and his loyal pup and best friend, T.J. He is preceded in death by his parents.
