Christie Ann Enoch, 69, of Slidell, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Denton, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 28, 1954, in Fort Worth to Bill and Billie Foster.
Christie's early years were spent in Krum, Texas, where she graduated from Krum High School in 1972. On January 12, 1973, she embarked on a lifelong journey with her beloved husband, Terry Wayne Enoch, as they exchanged vows on "Foster Hill" in Krum. Recently celebrating their remarkable 51st wedding anniversary. They were blessed with two children, Billie James and Jo Ann.
Christie's professional journey took her through various roles. She retired from Walmart Distribution Center, where she served as the Driver Coordinator. Prior to that, she began her career at Foster's Saddle Shop and later served as the cafeteria manager at Slidell ISD.
Living a life rooted in simplicity, Christie found joy in the company of her family. She enjoyed fishing, photographing wildlife, was a skilled crocheter, and had a fondness for storytelling that brought laughter to those around her. Traveling was a passion, with trips to the Hill Country, especially Fredericksburg, holding a special place in her heart. No journey was complete without a stop at the local Walmart in search of crochet yarn. Christie was one of mischievous spirit and loved by all who knew her.
Christie is survived by her husband, Terry; son Billy James and wife Melissa of Krum; daughter Jo Ann Enoch of Slidell; granddaughter Ashley Enoch and great-granddaughter Mariana Gonzalez of Granbury; sister Sandra and husband John North of Slidell; sister Lisa Foster of Denton; sister Tina and husband Craig Bergbauer of Clare, Illinois; brother Mark Foster and wife Madeline of Denton; brother Brad Foster of Decatur; sister-in-law Dee and husband Mark Alamo of Red Oak; aunt and uncle Gene and Marsha Foster of Plano, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Christie is preceded in death by her parents; brother Buddie Foster and wife Jeannine; mother and father-in-law James and Juanita Enoch; sister-in-law Glenda and husband Ben Haskins; aunts Margie Ward and Perry Griffin and grandparents Edith and Elliott Foster, Frank and Wilma Leddy.
A memorial service in celebration of Christie's life will be held at First Baptist Church of Slidell on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
