Christina Marie Boydston, 61, of Aubrey Texas, passed away at home on Monday, April 24, 2023. She was born in Mobile, Alabama to Robert Beryl Haycraft and Catherine Elaine (Ward) Haycraft. On January 28, 1984, she married John Lewis Boydston in Lewisville, TX.
Christina lived an adventurous life traveling with her husband who served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Her ventures did not end upon his retirement, she continued traveling and making memories with her family. Christina and John's greatest adventure together was raising their two children, Ashley and Andrew. Christina was affectionately called "Grandma Christmas" by her grandchildren. She was the epitome of professionalism as she enjoyed working and providing for her family. Christina retired from the Human Resources Department at the University of North Texas in January of 2023. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, but her favorite role was being her family's biggest fan. She loved watching her husband, children, and grandchildren play various sports throughout their lives. Christina leaves a legacy of inspiration and determination. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Boydston of Aubrey, Texas, son, Andrew Boydston and spouse Melissa of Gordonville, Texas, brother, Greg Haycraft, and sister, Tracey Haycraft. Three grandsons, Hunter, Lucas, and Nathan, nieces, Jessi (Boydston) Sanchez and Samantha Haycraft, nephews, Josh Boydston, Jeremy Boydston, and Adam Boydston.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Beryl Haycraft, mother, Catherine Elaine (Ward) Haycraft, and husband of 36 years, John Lewis Boydston.
A graveside service will be held at Trinity Cemetery in Denton at 2:00pm, Monday, May 1, 2023.
